Curious George Party

Peyton and Blake wanted Dad to take them down to the Curious George party at the library. They had story time, did some crafts, danced and got to eat treats. They had a great time. It was fun to have a free date with Dad!

This is hilarious! Peyton asked me to make her a sleeping mask, so I whip her up one. Then Blake asks me to make him one (It could not look girlie). They have been wearing these all week and believe it or not, they fall asleep faster and sleep longer! Yay Peyton, what a great idea!

Kindy 500

Now that Peyton is in kindergarten, all the kids have to make a car that they fit in for their special program. It was so much fun spending time with Peyton working on her cute, pink jeep. She was so proud of it. At the program, they sang patriot songs, then paraded around the school in their cars. After the parents left, they got to drive their cars around to different monuments in the United States and learn about them.

Trey's 2nd Birthday

Our little Trey turned two today. He is such a sweet, fun little guy. He loves doing everything that Peyton and Blake do. He is really into sports and trains. Trey is a really good talker and eater. It's fun to see his face lite up when he is really excited.
Trey loves to play with whatever Blake has, so he got a star wars ship, that Blake has already taken over.
These little Hex nano bugs were the hit of his Birthday.

Just playing.
Aunt Anna sent Trey a Thomas DVD (which he had to watch right away) and a Thomas bathing suit.
Grandmas Ali and Papa Jim got Trey a whole habitat for his little Buggies.

All day today Trey was singing "Happy Birthday to You" and saying "I'm two".
We love you Trey and all the laughter you bring to our family.

Our Sweet Bulldog Oprah

For the past couple of months, Oprah has been struggling with a tumor in her bladder. After a long three weeks of trying to decide when the right time to let her move on from this life, we just had to set a day. The vet told us it was the right thing to do and she was in some pain. It was a very emotional day and one of the hardest decisions we've had to make.
She really was a sweet, fun dog. She was a funny conversation piece with so many people. Here are some of our favorite memories of Oprah. To start out, we had to keep wipes by the back door because Oprah didn't know how to "pinch it off".
Dad always called Oprah his little humming bird and said her and Daisy were his best friends when mom was at work.
Peyton said she'll never forget Oprah's loud toots.
Oprah and her best friend, Daisy
Trey loved Oprah. He didn't care how bad she smelled, or what she looked like; he always gave her hugs and let her outside when she needed to go out.
Blake-Is Oprah in heaven with Grandma D and Grandma Joy?
Blake's chore was to feed the dogs everyday and he liked doing it all by his self.
I'll never forget going up the canyon and kicking the kids out of the stroller, because Oprah got too tired.
We all feel as though something is missing in our home and in our hearts. It's hard to put into words what it's like to lose a pet. We miss our little Ophs so much! It's comforting to know that "All Dogs Go to Heaven!" We Love you sweet girl!

Thank you Papa Pat and Grandma Cary you are always so thoughtful.
P.S. Don't tell Grandma Cary we opened it early!!

St. Patrick's Day and Dad's Birthday

St. Patrick's Day is always a big day at our house, because it is Daddy's Birthday too. We got up and made breakfast for him. Peyton requested Green Eggs and Ham, of course! Then we made treats and watched basketball. It's fun to create new things for special days. Didn't seem to get any pictures of the Birthday boy, but we still made it special!

Blakey's fruit rainbow. Surprisingly this was a big hit!

No pinches at our house! We all wore green.
Rainbow cupcakes, and Lucky Charms rice crispy treats. They were so yummy!
Then we topped it all off with symphony bar cookies with ice cream for Daddy's Birthday.

March Family Birthday Party

Because we have so many Birthdays to celebrate each month, we usually get together with all the extended family to celebrate everyone who has a Birthday that month. This month, it was time to celebrate Daddy and Trey's Birthday. Trey is really into Blues Clues, so I made him a Blues Clues cake and Dad got a chocolate mousse cake. It is always crazy to have everyone over, but it brings so many great memories.
