Peyton's First Day of Kindergarten

Peyton was so excited for her first day of Kindergarten. The day before we went to a special lunch (we couldn't do dinner because mom had to work). Peyton picked pizza. She had her outfit all laid out and could hardly sleep. Then the morning of, she wanted to have pumpkin waffles with homemade syrup. Peyton could not wait to go to her class. Mom and Dad took her and did a few activities with her, then with tear filled eyes we said good bye (for a whole 2 1/2 hours) to our little girl! It's hard to see her getting so big. This is her first big step to her journey through Elementary school.
We love you Little Diddy!!

Gone Fishing

Kris decided to take the kids fishing on Saturday morning to a pond that is stocked with fish right by our house. They had fun hanging out with Dad and trying to catch some fish. They didn't have any bites, but had a great time trying.

I have to write a funny thing that Peyton has been singing. There is this nursery song called "my nap sack on my back" that Trey likes to listen to. While Peyton was playing in the living room one day I hear her singing "my nut sack on my back." She insists that's what the song is singing

Soccer game #2

Ok, I'm not going to write about every one of Peyton's soccer games, but this one was so much fun. Peyton tried being goalie, and did not like it. She says she likes to run around more. They game was pretty dark, and it seemed like it was going to rain. About 5 minutes into the second half, it started down pouring. We all started running to the cars. Trey didn't know what the heck was going on. By the time we got to the car, we were soaked and laughing at how fast the game turned.

Peyton's First Soccer game

Peyton decided she wanted to try soccer this fall. She is on the same team as her cousin Lucy. They are pretty funny to watch together. Peyton looks like she is actin out on the field most of the time, but she is pretty quick once she gets into it.

Trey's First Hair Cut

Trey is almost 18 month and his hair was looking frizzy all the time. So, we all went to my friend Wendy's house for some hair cuts. Trey did not like any part of getting his hair cut, except for the end when I let him hold my phone to get him through.

Trey loves to sing songs. He sings the Muffin Man, My nap sack on my back, Pop corn Popping, Davie Crocket, Hello Hello, Oh toodles (from Mickey Mouse)Happy Birthday Cha Cha, and likes to read his little books.

Summer Fun

We went to the Utah County Fair because it is right down the street from us. We saw all the animals, a weird magician, yummy junk food and a roller coaster ride.

Blake's first year on Tiny Tots

So there is just not much to sign a 3 year old boy up for, so Blake started going to tiny tots at the Gym. They do obstacle courses, climb ropes and play different games. Blake loves it.

I have to write some of the funny things that Blake has said recently.
We're in the BYU bookstore and Blake see some paw prints on the ground. So I say lets follow the paw prints. To which Blake bursts out singing at the top of his lungs Follow the Prophet,
Follow the Prophet. We're not sure if he was saying Prophet of paw prints.

Next, we go outside and some weirdos are doing ninja stuff on the grass. Blake says "Mom, where did they get those swords?" I say, "I don't know?" So Blake starts yelling High-YAh, High YAH, as the guys continue their sword fighting.
Love our little Blakey!!

Girls night- year 2

We were so excited to have cousin Kaylie out visiting us from South Carolina for our annual Girls Night Out! We had the best time. On Friday, we went to dinner, then back to the condo for swimming, craft and snack time. We made cute necklaces and painted nails of course! It is so fun to see these cousins growing up and the cute little things they say and do. Saturday we went shopping at the outlets. Cousin Lauren and Aunt Rachel met us for some back to school shopping.

Love you girls! So glad we can do this every year. Can't wait for next year.

9 Years

On August 3rd, we celebrated our 9 year anniversary. It has been the best 9 years of our lives. We went out to dinner and we always seem to talk about all the things that have changed in the years that we've been married. So many things have changed, but it's so fun doing it with your best friend and the one you love more then anything in the world.
Grateful to Peyton for documenting us leaving for dinner!
Thanks for always making me laugh!

Last day in Michigan

I was so excited to be in Michigan for one of my best friends from high school's reception. Angie got married in Las Vegas in April but had her reception at a friend of the families mansion. It was a great night. I am so happy for her.
